I have been licensee of The Hart in Eastbourne for the last 6 years. Before that, I was at The Greyhound in Colnbrook – near Heathrow for 13 years and took a run down bikers pub onto highly successful and amazing things within the LGBT community of West London.

After a number of years on the steering group I was voted onto the Chair of Eastbourne Business Crime Groups Nightwatch in June 2008. Nightwatch is similar to Pubwatch but has strong connections with Eastbourne Council and Sussex Police who I meet with regularly.

Without wishing to bore you all silly, I have had strong connections with the LGBT communities of West London for many years working with a number of HIV charities via my connection with my previous pub. I strongly believe that the LGBT community should be a united and fair one and to this day remain amazed that Eastbourne’s community is so fragmented due to things or attitudes that may have happened many years ago.

I would consider it an honour to be voted onto the forum and serve the community that has helped me for many years. I can assure you that I will continue to do the best I can for all sections of the LGBT community of Eastbourne no matter what the past and will encourage the breaking down of these segmentalising barriers that have been put up for so many years among us.
